Appearance
State Timeline
Equipment states over time, drawn as colored bars from tag history.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click State Timeline in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use State Timeline to show when equipment was running, stopped, faulted or out of service over a shift or a day. Pick lanes for one bar per tag, or single for one taller bar with a time-in-state summary.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Variant | lanes, single | lanes | lanes (default, one bar per tag with a label column and a shared time axis) or single (one taller bar, using the first tag). |
| Tags (comma-sep) | String | (none) | The tag paths to plot, comma-separated, one lane each. |
| Lane Labels (comma-sep) | String | (none) | Lane names, comma-separated, in the same order as Tags. A blank name is taken from the tag path. |
| State Map | String | 0=Stopped:stopped,1=Running:running,2=Fault:fault,3=Interlocked:interlocked,4=Out of Service:oos | How tag values become states, as comma-separated value=Label:kind entries. The kind is running, stopped, interlocked, oos or fault. Boolean true and false read as 1 and 0. The default is 0=Stopped:stopped,1=Running:running,2=Fault:fault,3=Interlocked:interlocked,4=Out of Service:oos. |
| Range Start | String | (none) | Start of the time window, in epoch milliseconds. Bind it, with Range End, to a Date / Time Range. Leave both blank to show the last History (hours). |
| Range End | String | (none) | End of the time window, in epoch milliseconds. See Range Start. |
| History (hours) | Number | 8 | How many hours back to show when no range is bound. Default 8. |
| Refresh (s) | Number | 60 | How often, in seconds, the history is read again. The chart clamps this to at least 5 seconds, and 0 turns refreshing off. Default 60. |
| Show Time Axis | true, false | true | Shows the time axis under the bars. |
| Show Summary (single) | true, false | true | Single variant only: shows the time spent in each state next to the bar. |
| Data | Dataset | (empty) | Your own state history, drawn instead of the tags' history: rows of lane, timestamp and value. lane is a tag path or a lane name, timestamp is epoch milliseconds or an ISO date, and value is read through State Map. Empty (the default) reads each tag's history. |
Binding
This component has no single value binding.
Bind the data property to a Named Query that returns rows of lane, timestamp and value to draw from your own data. When data is empty, the component reads each tag's history itself. Time with no data is drawn as a dashed empty track, never as a made-up state, and a fault uses the alarm priority 1 color.
