Downloads
Install it, point it at a PLC, and see for yourself.
Everything is free to download and free to try. Start the trial and Raylux is completely unlocked for two hours: every driver, every module, unlimited tags and clients, nothing withheld. When the two hours are up it stops until you restart the trial or install a licence, and you can restart the trial as often as you like.
Windows
Start with the installer. It carries Nexus, Studio and Lens together.
| Package | What it is | Size | Download |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raylux Setup | The whole system: Nexus, Studio and Lens, with the runtimes chained. Start here. | 627 MB | Download |
| Nexus MSI | The gateway alone, for scripted or unattended installs. | 604 MB | Download |
| Studio | The designer, per engineer. Also served by a running gateway. | 150 MB | Download |
| Lens | The kiosk shell for a plant-floor panel. | 129 MB | Download |
Version 2026.20, released 2 October 2026. Windows Server 2019 or later, or Windows 10/11, 64-bit. Nexus installs as a Windows service and starts on boot. Studio and Lens install per user and are also downloadable from a running gateway's console, so an engineer joining a site does not need this page.
Verify the download
The installers are not code-signed yet, so check what you downloaded against these SHA-256 values before you run it. On Windows: Get-FileHash .\RayluxSetup-2026.20-x64.exe. On Linux: sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS with SHA256SUMS beside the files.

Linux
Nexus only. Studio and Lens are Windows. One package for your distribution; it installs the gateway as a service and starts it.
This version had no Linux packages. Pick another version above, or ask.
| Package | For | Size | Download |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nexus .deb | Ubuntu 24.04 or later, Debian 13 or later. Install with sudo apt install ./raylux-nexus_2026.20_amd64.deb |
57 MB | Download |
| Nexus .rpm | Fedora 39 or later, RHEL, Rocky or Alma 10 or later. Install with sudo dnf install ./raylux-nexus-2026.20-1.x86_64.rpm |
57 MB | Download |
| Runs as | A systemd service, enabled and started on install. Browse to port 8080 on the gateway to create the administrator account. |
| Upgrades | Install the newer package over the old one. A running gateway restarts on the new version; one you stopped on purpose stays stopped. |
| Your data | Projects, history, alarms and certificates are never removed, not even when the package is uninstalled. |
| SELinux | Works with SELinux enforcing on Fedora and RHEL — nothing to configure |
| ARM64 | Single-board panels — not in the release downloads; ask and we will send you a build. See platforms |
| Operator screens | Served as a web page, so nothing is installed on the machines that display them |
x86-64. Older distributions (Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, RHEL 9) refuse the package rather than install something that cannot run. The packages are not yet signed and there is no apt or dnf repository, so updates are a new download. On a server with firewalld running, open ports 8080 and 8443.
The trial

| Operator clients | Unlimited | — |

| Time limit | Two hours | Restart it, or install a licence |
Nothing is withheld for two hours
The trial has every driver, every paid module, unlimited tags, devices, users and operator clients. If you want to know whether Raylux talks to your PLC, you can find out properly rather than through a datasheet.
It stops when it expires
There is no reduced free tier underneath. When the two hours are up the gateway stops polling, stops serving screens and stops recording. It keeps running only enough to let you restart the trial or install a licence.
Restart it as often as you like
The two hours reset on request, from the gateway console, and the console stays reachable after the trial ends precisely so you can do that. There is no counter and no limit on how many times. A trial you have to ration gets abandoned halfway through commissioning a test rig.
No account, no call, and the form is optional
No account to create and no sales call to book. The short form before the download is there so we can tell you when a release matters to your plant. Skip it and the download starts anyway. Download it, run it, decide. If Raylux is not right for you, we would rather you found that out in an afternoon than after a sales process.
After you install
| Open the console | Nexus serves it at http://localhost:8080 |
| Start the trial | From the licence page in the console — it does not start on its own |
| Add a device | The console walks it; every driver is there, whichever licence you end up buying |
| Build a screen | Studio, on the same machine or another one |
| Read the manual | Right here — the same manual the product ships |
| Get stuck | Support is included with every licence, and questions before you buy are welcome |
Ready to license it? Configure a quote and send it over, or ask and you will get a figure back rather than a meeting invitation. Integrators reselling Raylux should look at the partner programme first. The discount applies from your first order.
Next step
Check your PLC before you install.
Type your controller’s family, model or part number and see the driver, the protocol and the settings that matter, or a straight answer that it is not a native driver, and the route that still works.
