RLX-NTC — Third-party notices
Everything Raylux ships that Raylux did not write.
This is Appendix A of the Raylux licence agreement, reproduced in full.
It was produced by reading the actual build — the copyright file each
package installs, the fetched source trees, and the resolved production
dependency closure — not from a hand-kept list. Full licence texts are
installed in the licenses/ directory of your installation folder.
Copyleft components
The five that carry obligations beyond attribution. All dynamically linked.
| Component | Licence | Ships in | Linkage | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Qt 6 | LGPL-3.0 | Studio, Lens | Dynamic | /source |
| libmariadb | LGPL-2.1 | Nexus | Dynamic | /source |
| mariadb-connector-cpp | LGPL-2.1 | Nexus | Dynamic | /source |
| libplctag | MPL-2.0 | Nexus | Dynamic | /source |
| open62541 / open62541pp | MPL-2.0 | Nexus | Dynamic | /source |
libplctag is dual-licensed
libplctag is offered under both MPL-2.0 and the LGPL. Raylux elects MPL-2.0.
Source and relinking
Complete corresponding source for all five, the information needed to relink against your own builds, and the written offer required by those licences are on the source page.
Native components
Compiled into Nexus, Studio and Lens. Read from the copyright file each package installs.

GoogleTest (BSD-3-Clause) is linked into the Raylux test binaries only. It is not part of any installed artefact and is not distributed with the Software.
Bundled runtimes
Installed by the Windows package rather than compiled in.
| Component | Licence | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CPython 3.14 (free-threaded) | PSF License Agreement | Installed as a required feature of the Windows package. |
| Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime | Microsoft redistributable terms | Chained by the installer. Installed permanently and deliberately not removed when Raylux is uninstalled, because other software on the machine may depend on it. |
Your Python code is yours
Raylux bundles CPython so that the scripting engine works out of the box. Any Python you write and run in that engine is your content. The Raylux licence claims no rights in it.
Chromium
Embedded in Studio and Lens by way of Qt WebEngine.
Chromium is distributed under BSD-3-Clause together with a very large set of additional third-party notices — several thousand entries, far more than this page can usefully reproduce.
That complete notice set is reproduced verbatim in
licenses/chromium/ in your Raylux installation directory, and is
incorporated into Appendix A of the licence agreement by reference. If you
need it and do not have Raylux installed, ask
[email protected]
and we will send it.
Fonts
Shipped in Studio, Lens, the Nexus reporting engine and the browser bundles.
| Font | Licence | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono | SIL OFL 1.1 | The OFL requires its text to travel with the font files. It is installed alongside them. |
| Material Symbols Outlined | Apache-2.0 | Full text accompanies the font files. |
Web components
The 55-package production closure of the bundles Nexus serves to browsers. Every one is permissive — there is no copyleft anywhere in the web tree.

Full licence texts
This page lists what applies to what. The operative texts are the licences themselves.
In your installation
Every licence text is installed with Raylux in the licenses/
directory of the installation folder, including the Chromium notice
set under licenses/chromium/.
In the source archives
Each archive on the source page carries its own
licence text at the top of the tree — COPYING.LIB for the
MariaDB connectors, LICENSE for open62541 and open62541pp,
LICENSE-1.MPL for libplctag.
If something is missing
If you believe a component Raylux ships is not listed here, or is listed under the wrong licence, tell us at [email protected]. We would rather fix an attribution than argue about one.
Trademarks
