Appearance
Sparkline
A tiny trend of one tag's recent history, inline beside a value or in a table cell.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click Sparkline in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use Sparkline where a full Trend Chart is too big: beside a KPI, in a row of equipment. Pick band to shade the normal range and flag a last value that is outside it.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Values | String | (none) | The series to draw: bind it to a Tag History or Named Query result (plain numbers or history points). Leave it unbound to have the sparkline fetch History Tag itself. |
| History Tag | String | (none) | The tag to fetch history for when Values is not bound. |
| History (hours) | Number | 1 | How far back the self-fetched history reaches, in hours. |
| Refresh (s) | Number | 60 | How often the self-fetched history is refreshed, in seconds. 0 loads it once. |
| Variant | line, area, band, bars | line | How it looks: line (default), area (soft fill under the line), band (normal range shaded) or bars (one bar per point, for hourly totals). |
| Band Low | String | (none) | Low edge of the normal range (band variant). |
| Band High | String | (none) | High edge of the normal range (band variant). |
| Breach Priority | 1, 2, 3, 4 | 1 | The alarm priority color the last point takes when it is outside the band: 1 red, 2 orange, 3 yellow, 4 purple. |
| Show Value | true, false | true | Show the latest value to the right of the chart. |
| Unit | String | (none) | The unit text after the latest value. |
| Decimals | String | (none) | Fixed decimal places for the latest value. Blank shows whole numbers as whole and others to one place. |
Binding
This component has no single value binding.
Read-only. With no data it draws a dashed baseline and --- rather than a flat line.
