Iris Summary
A short, cited, AI-labeled status summary of a tag folder, UDT instance, device, screen or alarm group, written by Iris.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click Iris Summary in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use Iris Summary where an operator or engineer wants a plain-language "what is going on here" for a part of the plant. It reads only what the signed-in person could already read, always says it is AI-generated and not a safety function, and lists the data it sent to the model. A person without the AiUse capability sees "Iris is not available for this user" and nothing is requested.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summarize | screen, tagFolder, udtInstance, device, alarmGroup | screen | What to summarize: screen (default), tagFolder, udtInstance, device or alarmGroup. |
| Scope id | String | (none) | Which one: a tag-folder or UDT-instance path, a device name, an alarm group (a tag-path prefix; * is every alarm) or Project/Screen. Empty with screen means the screen the component sits on. |
| Auto-refresh (s, 0 = off, min 60) | Number | 0 | Auto-refresh interval in seconds. 0 (default) means off: the operator presses Summarize. Any other value is raised to at least 60, because every summary is a model call. |
Binding
This component has no single value binding.
No value binding and no writes: the component only asks for a summary. A button action "Summarize This Screen (Iris)" opens the same summary for the current screen.
