Partners / Tiers
Five tiers, and a published number for every one of them.
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. You move up on annual sales volume, and the thresholds are printed below, so you do not have to ask. Every tier is free to reach, and the certification the upper tiers ask for costs nothing to sit. A slow year does not cost you the tier you earned.
The ladder
Annual sales volume at Raylux list price, and from Gold upward a certified engineer on staff.
| Tier | Annual volume | Certified engineers | Roughly | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | On approval | — | Where everyone starts | Base rate |
| Silver | $15,000 | — | About two systems | Base + 5 points |
| Gold | $45,000 | 1 | About five | Base + 10 |
| Platinum | $100,000 | 3 | About eleven | Base + 15 |
| Diamond | $175,000 | 5 | About nineteen | Base + 20 |
Measured at list price, before your discount. That is the more generous of the two ways to count and the only one that does not punish you for having a good rate: counted at what you actually paid, a Diamond partner would have to sell substantially more than a Bronze one to clear the same bar. “Roughly” assumes a typical plant system of a gateway, an HMI with a client tier, historian and notifications at about $9,000; yours will differ. The actual percentages are quoted in your approval email and shown on your dashboard rather than printed here. A number on a marketing page eventually disagrees with the one applied at checkout, and your margin is between you and Raylux rather than something your customer can read off a public page.
What each tier adds
Everything is cumulative: a tier keeps what the one below it had.
| Capability | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Diamond |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Licence discount | Base | +5 | +10 | +15 | +20 |
| Edge discount | Same as licence | Same | Same | Same | Better again |
| Lab licences not for resale | 1 | 2 | 3 | Unlimited | Unlimited, plus customer loaners |
| Certified engineers | Not required | Not required | 1 | 3 | 5 |
| Support priority | Direct email | Direct email | Ahead of the queue | Ahead of the queue | Named contact, scheduled calls |
| Pre-release builds | — | Yes | Yes | Yes, with the changelog early | Yes, with the changelog early |
| Feature requests | — | Read and answered | Read and answered | Input on sequencing | Direct input on the roadmap |
| Inbound referrals | — | — | By region and fit | By region and fit | First refusal in your region |
| Listed publicly | — | Optional | Optional | Optional, with your work | Optional, with your work |
| Cost to reach it | Nothing | Nothing | Nothing | Nothing | Nothing |
How you move
Volume is the published route
Cross a threshold and the tier is yours. Volume is reconciled once a year against what you actually bought, and your dashboard shows the running total and the gap to the next rung, so you are never guessing where you stand or having to ask.
Certification, from Gold upward
Bronze and Silver ask for nothing. Gold wants one certified engineer on staff, Platinum three, Diamond five. It is free to sit, it is about the product rather than automation generally, and it exists because those tiers come with a discount and a support priority we are trusting you with. It is not a revenue line.
Good work is the other route
A tier can also be granted for commissioning work worth pointing at, regardless of volume. This is deliberately discretionary rather than a second set of thresholds. An integrator doing a few large, careful systems should not rank below one moving boxes, and no number expresses that. If you think it applies to you, say so.
A slow year costs you nothing
Tier is held through a year below your threshold. It only steps down after two consecutive years below, and never by more than one rung at a time. Plant projects are lumpy and a single quiet year is normal; losing your rate in the middle of it would be the worst possible timing.
You are told before anything changes
If a second slow year would move you down, you hear about it at the end of the first one, with the number you would need. No silent demotions and no annual review you find out about afterwards.
The parts most programmes bury
Is there a fee at any tier?
No. Not to join, not to move up, not annually, and the certification is free to sit. Nothing on this page costs money to reach: the thresholds are sales you make, not cheques you write to us.
Is volume counted at list or at my cost?
At list, before your discount. Buying $50,000 of licences counts as the full $50,000 toward the ladder, even though your discount means you paid less than that.
Is there an exam or a course?
There is a certification from Gold upward, and it is free: no course to buy, no retake fee. Bronze and Silver need none. It covers Raylux specifically, not automation in general, so an experienced integrator should not find it a hurdle.
Can I be demoted?
Only after two consecutive years below your threshold, one rung at a time, with warning after the first. A tier removed for conduct is the other case: misrepresenting what Raylux does, or reselling to someone we have told you we will not support.
Does a big first year count?
Yes. Volume is counted from the day you are approved, so if your first twelve months clear Gold and you have a certified engineer, you are Gold. There is no minimum time at a tier before you can leave it.
Do I get territory exclusivity?
No, at any tier, and this will not change. Diamond gets first refusal on referrals in its region, which is not the same thing: every partner still competes on the work.
Will Raylux sell direct into my account?
Not into an account you brought. If a customer you introduced comes to us directly, they get sent back to you, and the sale still counts toward your volume.
Does a licence include updates?
A licence entitles updates to the latest release within its version generation (1.0.x for anything sold today). Crossing to a new generation is an upgrade, and you will hear about one well before it arrives rather than finding out from a customer.
Programme terms can change. What will not change without telling every partner first is a tier you already hold, a margin already quoted to you, or a threshold you are partway to. Licence terms themselves are in the licence agreement.
